One Blind Pig, coming up.
I went to my pal's house to catch some preseason football tonight. I knew not to expect much, what with the uh, extended off season, but it still would have been nice for the Niners to at least score a touchdown. The 49ers may have disappointed but the beer did not. We had a tasty IPA called Blind Pig from Russian River Brewing in Santa Rosa, CA.

Start with a light, almost fruity aroma then add a beautiful red amber color and you have yourself a good beer. The alcohol content is a manageable 6% so it won't knock you out like some other brews but it'll get the job done. While you can certainly taste the hops, they had an understated quality that non-hops fans could appreciate. This beer works really well with snacks. We had some chips and salsa that the Blind Pig complimented perfectly. I mean, what can be better than the jalapeño heavy salsa being balanced by the mellow hops of the beer?  This is one radiant pig.
